On a visit to Happy Hill Farm, you can see acres and acres of farmland stretching out under the big Texas sky. Children of all ages are raising goats and rabbits, caring for Texas’s famous longhorn cattle, and riding horses. Laughter rings across the fields. This place certainly lives up to its name!
We are located on a 500-acre working farm in Granbury, deep in the heart of Texas. Supported by scholarships from compassionate friends like you, boys and girls (ages 6 to 18) live at Happy Hill Farm year-round in small group homes overseen by dedicated house parents.
The students find healthy exercise in raising and caring for the farm animals. Chickens, rabbits, donkeys, and even Texas’s trademark longhorn cattle teach the children responsibility and kindness. The ever-popular equestrian program offers the freedom of a good gallop over the beautiful hills. And through our 4-H and FFA programs, students build self-confidence, as they show their animals across Texas, often leading to college scholarship opportunities.
By graduation, NCTA students are very well-rounded young people. Most go on to college and from there to thriving careers.
