Dear Friend,
I wish you could visit us this summer!
The hot Texas sun is shining down on green fields. The scent of growing hay reminds everyone that the campus is located on a real farm! And the joyful laughter of kids rings across the campus from morning to evening.
Some of our students are still studying hard in the classroom, taking part in summer reading programs or special tutoring. Others are working in the kitchens, learning to cook and bake delicious treats. Some are caring for the animals on the farm, whether it be riding horses in our equestrian program or raising goats for the next 4-H fair. Still others are taking part in intensive, athletic camps, getting ready for the new seasons.
In my mind, there’s just no better place to be … and it’s all because of friends and partners like you.
Did you know that Happy Hill Farm does not receive any public funding? Every child is here, learning and growing, thanks to caring donors who pray and give.
Your donations provide everything from housing to food, teacher salaries to facilities, athletics to 4-H programs … you give the kids of Happy Hill Farm a new life!
In fact, you’re invited to come see us anytime. It would be my honor to show you the difference you’re making in children’s lives every day. Just reach out and call us at 254.897.4822 to schedule a visit.
And in the meantime, check out the other articles in this issue of The Vine. You’ll read a wonderful interview with a Happy Hill Farm alum and find out more about how you can help the next generation of kids at Happy Hill Farm.
Have a wonderful summer with your family!
Sincerely,
Lucas Shipman
