The Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame honors the best performers in Texas racing

The Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame honors the best performers in Texas racing from NASCAR to IRL pit crews to drag racers. The inaugural event in 2003 marked the beginning of what has proven to be a major fund raiser for the at-risk children of Happy Hill Farm Academy/Home. All proceeds from the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame benefit the boys and girls who live at Happy Hill Farm.

The first inductees into the Hall of Fame were Texas racing legends A. J. Foyt and Johnny Rutherford. The Hall of Fame Award is presented to an outstanding individual in Texas Motorsports, active or retired, with special emphasis given to Texans and individuals with accomplishments in Texas.

Other awards include the Bruton Smith Legends Award, the Texas Motor Speedway Sportsmanship Award, and the Texas Motor Speedway Racer of the Year.
