The Farm

Happy Hill Farm Academy does contain a “real” 500-acre working farm campus. Located just south of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex near Granbury, Texas, the Academy is within easy driving distance of both cities. The students are heavily involved in a very active 4-H program. They show their animals — steers, heifers, pigs, goats, sheep — in all of the major livestock shows throughout Texas — Fort Worth, The State Fair, San Antonio, and Houston.
In addition, much of the meat for the Academy Dining Center is raised on campus — beef, lamb, and pork. Some thirteen horses round out the riding stable. There is a greenhouse, garden area, and small orchard. In short, the rural, out-of-doors environment is great for students, most of whom are from the inner city. They have 500-acres in which to stretch their legs.
