Ms. Phillips is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University.  She received her bachelor’s degree and majored in music while attending TWU on a voice scholarship.  Ms. Phillips is the head of the department of music.  She works with grades K-12 in music knowledge acquisition, leads the drum line, conducts the choir, and directs the spring theatrical production.  With over 40 theatrical productions in her personal portfolio, Academy students get the opportunity to work with a true professional.

With over seven years of high school science experience, Mrs. Moore brings knowledge and skills that have enabled the Academy’s science department to expand its offerings. Mrs. Moore and her husband Chris reside in Tolar, Texas.

Mrs. Moore is a graduate from Tarleton State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  Mrs. Moore played an integral part as the summer reading program coordinator within the City of Granbury Library.  She and her husband Kelly live in Granbury.

Kacy is the Academy Librarian, and she also teaches classes within each elementary grade on the use of the library as an educational tool for success.  Ms. Mayberry graduated from the University of North Texas, and she is currently working toward her Library Science master’s degree.

Ms. Lachowicz has twenty-five years of teaching experience and has spent the last ten years working within the 5^th and 6^th grades.  She is talented in all areas but specializes within the areas of Mathematics and Social Studies.  She and Mrs. Dea work in tandem in the elementary grades.  Mrs. Lachowitz is a graduate from the University of Oklahoma. Mrs. Lachowitz and her husband have two children.

Ms. Ford received her bachelor’s degree in Bible, Family and Church Education and her master’s degree in Bible Teaching from Columbia International University in Columbia South Carolina.  Andrea oversees the Bible Department within the Academy and is instrumental in HHFA’s campus ministerial programs.

With eleven years of experience teaching fifth and sixth grades, Mrs. Dea brings a wealth of experience helping children in the skills required for transitioning into junior high.  Mrs. Dea is a graduate of Abilene Christian University.  She has experience in multiple areas; however, Mrs. Dea specializes in Language Arts and in Science.  She is married and has three children.

Prior to arriving at HHFA, Monica spent 27 years serving within the banking and finance industry. Her most recent post was as Senior Vice President at Community Bank. As a lifelong resident of Hood County, Monica and her husband, Joel, have two children who are students at the Academy.

With a very small team of only 7 State qualifiers, the Happy Hill Farm Academy Pioneer Boys track team headed to Waco for the TAPPS State meet recently. Competing against teams more than twice their size, and having to run in multiple events all day, the Pioneers, once again, pulled off another upset, by capturing the 2011 TAPPS State Track Championship! The girls team placed 3rd at the same State Meet. Congratulations Pioneers!

The 2010/2011 Basketball Season turned out to be a dream one for the Lady Pioneers. With coach Tammy Evans back at the helm, the girls worked very hard all year, and it paid off in March, as the HHFA Lady Pioneers captured the State Championship trophy from the defending, Boerne Geneva Eagles. Having beaten most of their opponents by more than 40 points each game, the girls were pretty keyed up and nervous going into the final game.

The Mansfield gym was packed out on the HHFA Pioneer side. The support for the team was amazing! Down by 7 points in the first quarter, and only up by 1 point at half, the Lady Pioneers knew they would have to earn the right to be called State Champions. Coach Evans got the girls settled down in the locker room. They came out from halftime with a 19-4 3rd quarter run, and they never looked back. Congratulations to the new Texas TAPPS State Champions!
