Visual Arts

All Levels of Art
Happy Hill Farm Academy offers visual arts classes for all levels, K-12. Students experience a variety of artistic media through the visual arts program, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and ceramics in a studio setting. Learning about artists and artistic styles is an integral part of the program and expands the students’ understanding and exploration of the visual arts.

Elementary Art
Elementary art covers an in-depth study of the world and how it is experienced in a visual format. Students journey through history and experience art through various mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics.

Junior High Art
Junior high art students explore the principles and elements of art that make up visual art as a whole. They achieve the basic understanding and foundations that carry over into upper levels. Courses include application of design concepts and development of techniques through drawing, painting, printmaking, and ceramics.

Art I, Art II, Art III, and Art IV
The students continue with the exploration of the principles of design and elements of art with extensive courses in art history, painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, and ceramics. They work in both two- and three- dimensional art. Students will be encouraged to develop impressive portfolios. Much of their work is consistently recognized in both regional and state competitions.
