Outdoor Education

QQ1Q2

The outdoor education program introduces the lifelong sports of hunting and fishing to select Happy Hill Farm Academy students. They receive outdoor training from our experienced and trained staff. These students take a 5 week summer course in which they earn their lifetime hunter education certification. The course teaches ethics, wildlife identification and management, conservation, archery and firearm skills, and safety.
In addition, students learn basic angling skills, camping, and outdoor emergency training. Students who successfully pass this course qualify to attend hunting and fishing events throughout the school year. These hunts are provided by the Texas Game Wardens Association and private ranchers. Multiple fishing trips are planned for students and some even compete in bass tournaments.
